Details of this Build

This two-storey, fully screened-in, 32ft high sunroom addition was build with Trex Transcend premium composite decking. We also used Woodtone Engineered Real Post structural posts and built the screens ourselves.

The big challenge was having two gables meet in a valley. This was an issue during construction because it rained for most of the build. This meant we had a funnel leading into the house, so we tarped the entire roof off and worked under a canopy.

The footings presented another challenge because we were building on very wet ground with a high water table. So we reinforced the footings with rebar and doubled their size, as well as used extra gravel for drainage.

The interior ceiling was finished with Ready Pine prestained tongue and groove paneling
