We started this custom home build in December and delivered it turn-key to the customer by the end of May. This house measured 2,180 sqaure feet on the main floor and featured 9ft ceilings with an attached double car garage.
For the foundation of the home, we used Amvik ICF 3.30 which obtained an R30 in the basement wall before factoring in the foundation concrete. The entire basement was also waterproofed using Bakor Blueskin composite membrane before backfill.
The whole house was heated using in-floor radiant heating and recirculating boiler system. This radiant floor boiler also generated the heat for the home's hot water.
The floor was framed with engineered floor trusses. This allowed the HVAC and electrical to be hidden within the floor and eliminated the need for the use of bulkheads.
This home also had a blown-in blanket BIBS insulation system and featured Permacom cultured dimensional stone and matching brick for the exterior.
In the bathrooms we installed custom tile showers with a Schluter waterproofing system throughout. Laundry and water closets featured luxury vinyl tile.
The rear of the house had an extended roofline measuring 14ft by 18ft, and 20ft high. This covered the back patio and hot tub.
The entire main floor was finished with Twelve Oaks raw finish white oak engineered flooring, and the basement was completed with polished sealed and dyed concrete (the polishing took 5 days).
